Vets Without Borders
Veterinar Help Where Needed The Most
Vets Without Borders Provides Veterinary Help and Organizes Spay and Neuter Campaigns in Developing Countries.
For 2010 the outreach program went to Costa Rica. This was the biggest spay and neuter campaign ever organized in Costa Rica.
The vet team, consisting of Dr. Viktor van Marrewijk and Dr. Laura Villegas, was fulltime involved in this outreach program. A professional service could therefore be provided, with the possibility to return on regular dates or stay for more days if required. Additional services on these campaigns were consults, vaccinations and dewormings. More complicated cases that needed special attention, like fractures or tumours, were taken to nearby vet clinics and returned after surgery and recovery.
